Wise Guy: Jeff Goins, Writer

Episode #33 of the Wise Guy Wednesday series features Jeff Goins, a writer for writers and Pez candy aficionado.

Besides his stellar blog (which I read daily), Jeff’s writing has been featured on RELEVANT Magazine, REJECT Apathy, Problogger.net and MichaelHyatt.com.

Jeff writes with a passionate yet conversational tone that makes you feel right at home while challenging you to get up off your butt and do the hard work of chasing dreams.

Today, I’m excited to conduct the first ever Wise Guy Wednesday interview with Jeff.

Buckle up..

How to get your kids to use their manners

Kids are gross.

Don’t get me wrong. Babies are cute, toddlers are adorable and children are precious, but kids are gross.

Just for starters they…

  • drool
  • pick their noses
  • wipe snot on their sleeves
  • chew with their mouths gaping
  • can go days without bathing
  • burp at inopportune moments
  • fart smellier than the dog
  • put their elbows on the table
  • forget to brush their teeth

Do I need to continue?
The good news is most of these hygiene infractions can be cured with good manners.
The bad news is just because a kid knows good manners doesn’t mean they will be practiced regularly.

That being said here are a few things I learned about women from the various commercials.

I am a man. I have been one for almost 29 years.
I am a husband. I have been one for nearly 6 years.
I’m more an expert on the former topic than the latter.

Do I know everything about women? Not even close.

The WAR is OVER: Part 1

I might be jumping the gun here, but I’m gonna go ahead and declare it anyway.

THE WAR IS OVER

What war?” you might be wondering. The longest running war in human history. The battle that has waged since Adam and Eve bit into the wrong piece of fruit. The conflict that permeates history, politics, entertainment and family values.

The war between the sexes.

MEN vs. WOMEN

Haven’t you had enough?
Aren’t you tired?
Isn’t it getting old?
