Yesterday, I had the privilege to meet the one and only Julie Andrews.
Having grown up watching Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music it was an unexpected surprise to find out Julie Andrews would be visiting my work as one of the final stops on her book tour.
Yesterday was “Take Your Kid To Work Day“. Having accidentally missed it the last few years I was excited when L.K. reminded me earlier this week.
Although, I think my 10-year old was infinitely more excited to skip school for the day and hang out with me.

This year is I.M.’s umpteenth season of little league baseball.
For all the parents who have endured practice in the rain and kids clamoring for Capri-Suns and granola bars like starving banshee, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
When these plane-watching MLB hopefuls finally hit 4th grade the game gets serious and more entertaining to attend.
It definitely beats a Mariners game.
Speaking of striking out, I.M. has had some trouble the last few games while at bat.
